FOSTER PET VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Foster pet volunteers are helping save the lives of Arlington Animal Services Center homeless animals. These dedicated volunteers open their hearts to special needs shelter orphans, helping improve their survivability and adoptability, while decreasing euthanasia and increasing their placement into loving, responsible and permanent homes.

Here are some of their stories:

bullet Sean Gillen and the story of “Atlantis”

bullet Itsy the Chihuahua puppy makes a full recovery

bullet Foster Mom saves heartworm positive pets Dexter and Casey

bullet Devoted foster nurses injured kitty back to health

bullet Six puppies receive round the clock care from a special foster family

Arlington Animal Services is sincerely appreciative for foster pet volunteers and their commitment to responsible pet care and improving the quality of life for special needs homeless animals.

Interested in becoming a foster pet volunteer?
If so, complete the volunteer application and note on the application that you are interested in the foster care program. The application normally takes 7-10 business days to process. This program is new to the shelter and we hope to provide many more success stories about our city’s shelter animals.
